Let Your Body Do The Talking
Katonah Yoga® is a classical Hatha yoga practice rooted in Taoist philosophy, sacred geometry, and metaphor, founded by Nevine Michaan in Katonah, NY. It was developed as a way to use structure, form, and alignment to support self-cultivation. Through precise postures and intelligent use of the body, Katonah Yoga® invites you to organise yourself in relationship to gravity, space, and natural rhythms.
In parallel, I work with Energy Codes by Dr. Sue Morter — subtle patterns of movement, sensation, and awareness that influence how energy flows through the body. By tuning into these codes, the practice becomes not only physical but deeply embodied and sacred, helping you access clarity, resilience, and a more grounded sense of self.
Together, these approaches offer a practice that is practical yet poetic: a way to come home to the body, refine how you move through the world, and cultivate lasting stability and ease.
About Me
Embodiment is at the heart of my being.
The body is not something we simply live in. It is our map, our house, and our vehicle. It is where experience is stored, where understanding is integrated, and where healing, learning, and growth unfold in real time.
My vision is simple and sincere: to share my own lived experience and wisdom with you in a way that encourages a deeper level of connection, awareness, and intimacy with your body, so that understanding becomes embodied, and knowledge becomes lived truth.
My teaching is rooted in the theory of Katonah Yoga®, alongside The Energy Codes by Dr. Sue Morter, color, intuition, and great sound. The system of Katonah Yoga® weaves metaphor, sacred geometry, and esoteric theory from Taoism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Great Nature into a precise, structured container of practice. Real change is evoked through time, technique, and repetition.
Woven into this method are breath and energetic practices inspired by Dr. Sue Morter's The Energy Codes. It’s a way of engaging with the energy body that subtly reorganizes the physical, emotional, and mental bodies from the outside in.
Most importantly, all are welcome. No experience is required. This container is about discovery by uncovering what is already here and bringing online the aspects of self that are simply not yet informed.
